As an artist, I have always been drawn to creating complex and intricate pieces. I love experimenting with different techniques and styles, and my work has always been characterized by a sense of dynamic energy. But one day, when I was painting at home, I felt a sudden urge to do something different. I wanted to create a piece that was more minimalist than my others, something that would be characterized by simplicity and restraint. I started with a blank drop cloth and a few basic colors, and I began free flowing the outlines of my composition. At first, it felt strange to be working in such a minimalist style. I would usually leave no white space and employ intricate details within my work, but now I found myself intentionally holding back. As I worked, I began to appreciate the beauty of simplicity. Each stroke and movement felt deliberate and purposeful, and I found that I was able to express more with less. Instead of relying on complex compositions and detail, I was able to convey a sense of depth and meaning through the careful interplay of color and form. At times, I was tempted to add more to the painting, to layer on additional details or bright colors. But each time, I held back, allowing the simplicity of the piece to shine through. In the end, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed creating “I hope I get to see you”. It was a departure from my usual style, but it allowed me to explore a new aspect of my creativity. And when I stepped back and looked at the work, I was struck by the beauty of its simplicity. Sometimes, it's the smallest gestures that can have the biggest impact.
